Cscape’s performance work has delighted thousands of people in a diverse range of venues from mid scale theatres, remote village halls, festivals to stunning outdoor sites. The company delight in making playful work of the highest quality to fit all manner of venues and sites in both traditional and non traditional theatre settings.
In 2009 Cscape performed 120 shows in 25 venues including the RSC in Stratford Upon Avon, Plymouth Theatre Royal, Spoleto International Festival, South Carolina USA, Glastonbury Festival and toured to 8 village halls on 3 national rural touring schemes.
Cscape’s collaborative creative team includes choreographers, writers, film makers, designers, composers and theatre directors, resulting in the creation of dance theatre, which is highly stylized and character based and contains strong narratives and stories that audiences can identify with. Cscape’s work is choreographed by co-directors Helen Tiplady and Sally Williams and the company also commissions work by leading choreographers and theatre directors. Previous commissions include work by T.C Howard, Fleur Darkin, Emma Rice, Simon Birch, Debbie Fionnm Barr and Steve Kirkham.
